Norman Wayne Eudy, 87, of Locust, passed away Monday, November 4, 2024 at home, surrounded by his loving family in Locust.
Norman was born September 4, 1937 in North Carolina to the late John Norman Eudy and the late Diamond Opal Eudy. He was also preceded in death by wife, Glenda Delaine Eudy.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm, Friday, November 8, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Locust. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 pm. officiated by Rev. Dr. Kinney Wallace and Rev. Dr. Tommy Ross. Burial will follow in the First Baptist Cemetery at 320 South Central Avenue, Locust.
Wayne was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and was a loving caregiver to his wife Delaine for 11 years when she became ill. He served in the Air National Guard from which he retired and also worked in the roofing industry for 39 years. Wayne loved music and had a great voice with which he could sing and also tell the most hilarious jokes that would make anyone laugh and feel comfortable.
Survivors include daughters, Kimberly Lynne (Sid) Lambert of Locust, NC and Kerri Leigh (Todd) Fraley of Oakboro, NC; grandchildren, Corey (Krista) Fraley, Seth (Amber) Lambert, Joshua (Sarah) Lambert, Taylor (Allyssa) Fraley, Elizabeth Lambert, and Camden (Hunter) Martin; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Gail (Jerry) Smith; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
