Novella Love

Novella Furr Love's physical healing came in death's sleep on December 25, 2009. She was 83 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Grady S. Love, along with two children, Donald S. Love and Sandra Love Sossaman. She is survived by three children, Larry Douglas Love, Ann Love Richard and Jerry Grady Love, along with nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Love was born Sept. 18, 1926, to Floyd and Zula Furr of Stanfield. Mrs. Love was a homemaker, Sunday school teacher, dedicated Christian, church worker and member of New Life Church of Jesus Christ who loved the Lord and served Him since childhood. Family will receive friends on Saturday at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord. The funeral will be held in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel today at 2 p.m. with interment immediately following at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens on N.C. 73 East. The family wishes to express special thanks to Karen, the Hospice Chaplain; Dora, Mrs. Love's CNA; Tabatha, her nurse; Marie, her social worker; and to all of the staff at Tucker Hospice House. Also, much gratitude to the caregivers at Carebridge in Mount Pleasant, who were so cognizant not only of Mrs. Love's needs but also the needs of her family.
