Odessa Harward

Odessa Marie Harwood Harward, age 88 of 625 Bethany Rd, Albemarle, NC, formerly of Norwood, NC passed away on June 23, 2010 at Stanly Manor in Albemarle. Born in Stanly County on September 12, 1921. Odessa Marie Harwood Harward was preceded in death by her husband, Conard Edgar Harward, her mother Loretta Josephine Crayton Harwood and father Luther Berry Harwood; brothers, Jim, L.B. and Gurley Harwood; sisters, Bertha Page and Minnie Smith. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Albemarle. She is survived by her daughter Judy Fraley and husband Jerry of New London NC, her sons Jerry Harward and wife Linda of New London, NC, Steve Harward and wife Joyce of Ohio, Donnie Harward and wife Renae of Albemarle NC; brother, Hurley Harwood of Mt. Pleasant, NC; 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchild and 1 great great child. Visitation will be Friday, June 25, 2010 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. Funeral service will be Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel, Albemarle. Rev. David Howard and Rev. Reese English officiating.
