Odessa Treece

Odessa Murray Treece, Age 87 of 20130 Newsome Rd, Oakboro, NC 28129, passed away on March 08, 2010 at Britthaven of the Piedmont in Albemarle. Born in Stanly County on June 28, 1922. Odessa M. Treece was preceded in death by her husband Wilbert Hager Treece, her mother-Minnie Angeline Lambert Murray her father Aussie Gold Murray. She worked as an egg grader for All Star Egg Plant. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Oakboro where she was a life long member. She loved gardening, and also the monthly dinners with treasured friends. The family will meet at the home of Keith Treece, 20327 Jacob Rd, Locust, NC Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. First St. Albemarle, NC 28001. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 from 1:00 PM 2:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home Albemarle with funeral service following at 2:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel, 522 N. 2nd Albemarle NC. with the ministers Rev. Frank Sanders, Rev. Wayne Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Bapt Ch Cemetery Odessa M. Treece was survived by her Daughter Diane Canupp of Albemarle NC, her sons Brian Treece of Frog Pond NC, Keith Treece and wife Bonnie of Locust NC, her grandchildren David Canupp, Brandon Treece, Jeff, Mike, Matt, and Dustin Boone, and 4 great grandchildren, and her brother-Dewell Murray of Frog Pond, NC, sister-Bessie Mae Huneycutt of Glouster, NC. She was preceded in death by seven brothers.
