Olar Coley

Olar Agnes Hinson Coley, age 98, of 16293 Tyson Road, NC 28001, passed away on November 17, 2011 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Friday, November 18, 2011 at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle. At other times the family will meet at her home. The funeral service will be 11:00 am Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Norwood. Rev. Lowell Brown and Rev. Ron Honeycutt will officiate and the burial will follow in the church cemetery. Born in Stanly County, NC on March 31, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Jonah A. Hinson and the late Minnie Efird Hinson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Spurgeon Charles Coley, son, Joe Craig Coley; daughter, Patsy Jane Coley, grandson, Michael Evan Coley, brother Edgar Hinson and six sisters; Lillie Mae Huneycutt, Florence Little, Clara Page, Cletus Haynes, Minnie Lee Barbee and Macie Helms. She is survived by her sons; Ernest Dale Coley and wife Joyce of Norwood, James Edward Coley and wife Mamie of Albemarle, Bobby Dallas Coley and wife Janice of Oakboro; daughters, Mallie Coley Lanier and Lila Coley Ingold both of Albemarle; 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren; a number of step grandchildren and great grandchildren. At the time of her death she was the oldest member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was a homemaker. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N.
