Olin Liles

Mr. Olin Lonzo Liles, 74, of 17341 Pond Road, Locust, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2011, at CMC Mercy. He was born on May 1, 1936 in Stanly County to the late Lonzo Lorenzo and Verna Mae Barbee Liles. Mr. Liles was a veteran of the US Army and a retired welder from Carolina Solite. A visitation will be held on Monday, March 7, 2011 at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Howard’s Chapel, 12626 Winfield Road, Norwood, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Joe Smith officiating. At other times, the family will be meeting at the home. He is survived by his wife, Bertha "Bert" Simpson Liles, of the home; daughters, Markl Kies and husband, Tom, of Concord and Stephanie McManus and husband, Eric, of Monroe; grandchildren, Jamison and McKenna Kies and Reece and Reagan McManus; sisters, Evelyn Hobbs, of Concord and Latha Fisher, of Mt.
