Ollie Bryant

Ollie Dean Bryant, Sr., 52, of Albemarle, was a strong fighter, but lost his battle with cancer on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at CMC- NorthEast. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle on Friday, February 1, 2013 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. At other times, the family will meet at his home, 23943 Edgefield Rd. Albemarle. Dean was born on May 22, 1960, to the late Ollie Grant Bryant, Jr. and Betty Bane Bryant of Lexington, VA. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Kimberly Jo Thompson Bryant of the home; three sons, Thomas Bryant of Albemarle, DJ Bryant of Albemarle and Justin Thompson of Virginia; five grandchildren, Alissa Thompson, Joe Thompson, Victoria Bryant, Skylynn Bryant and Lea Thompson; two sisters, Laurie Traywick of Morganton and Nancy Jackson of Badin. Dean was a dedicated worker, and enjoyed hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Bryant family.
