Oma Kimrey

Oma Marie Kimrey, 87, of Norwood, passed away Friday, October 2, 2020 at her home.

Oma was born September 14, 1933 in Stanly County to the late Lewis Thompson and the late Pearl Singleton Thompson. In addition to her husband Walter Brack Kimrey, she was also preceded in death by sisters, Eldora Starnes and Evelyn Little; half sisters, Mary Lela Taylor, Hattie Russell, Annabelle Swaringen, and Nell Hutchinson; half brothers, Paul Leonard Thompson of Oakboro, NC and Raymond Thompson of Norwood, NC.

A graveside service will be on Monday, October 5, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Hudson cemetery located on Swaringen Rd, Norwood, NC 28128 officiated by Rev. Lowell Brown.

Survivors include daughters, Linda Kimrey of Clemmons, NC, Kathy Smith of Norwood, NC, Janet Frick of Greensboro, NC, Amy Cornatzar of Gastonia, NC; son, James Kimrey of Norwood, NC.

Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church, 32283 Bethlehem Church Road, Norwood, NC 28128.
