Ora Johnson, Jr

Ora T. Johnson, Jr., 85, of Concord, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Tucker Hospice House. The family will receive friends at Hickory Grove Baptist Church 6050 Hickory Grove Road Charlotte on Monday, February 25, 2013 from 10 until 11:30 am. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 at the church, with Rev. John Harrill officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens in Charlotte. Mr. Johnson was born on December 11, 1927 Witt Springs, KY, to the late Ora T. Johnson, Sr. and Eula Stamper Johnson. Ora was a veteran of US Airforce. He was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church and he was an engineer for IBM. He is survived by his wife Barbara Johnson of Concord; son, John Mark Johnson of Springfield, MO; daughters, JoAnn Wellman of Belmont, Judy Lawrence of Concord; three grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association 3800 Shamrock Drive Charlotte, NC 28215 or to One Plus Mission at Hickory Grove Baptist Church.
