Ovella Dulin

Ovella Whitley Plummer Dulin, 78, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013 at her home in Midland. Mrs. Dulin was born August 17, 1934 in Mecklenburg County to the late Fred Jones Plummer and Nellie Mae Little Plummer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Dulin, in 1997. She was a member of Bright Light Baptist Church in Concord. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Monday, April 29, in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel at 13575 Broadway Avenue, Midland, NC 28107. Rev. Buck Canup and Rev. Arnold Dulin will officiate. Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Park of Harrisburg. At other times, the family will meet at the home of her son, Charles Dulin. Survivors include her sons, Charles Dulin and Janet of Midland, Spencer Dulin of Rockwell, Johnny Dulin and Tamara of Locust, and Gary Dulin of Midland; her sisters, Dorothy Hooks of Charlotte and Vivian Mars of Florida; eight grandchildren, Ann, “Buckie”, and Johnny Wayne Dulin, Brian Dulin, Michelle Waller, Laura Barnhardt, Ashley Geelen, and Brandon Foutz; 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
