Pamera Brafford

Pamera Denise Brafford, 69 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, surrounded by her loving family.

Pam was born December 1, 1946 in Stanly County to the late Dewey Banks Hudson and the late Jessie Lorene WIlliams. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Len, in 2009.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home-Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Friday at 11:00 am at First Presbyterian Church-Albemarle officiated by Rev. Elizabeth Ayscue and Rev. John Futterer. Burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory, 2001 East Main Street, Albemarle.

Survivors include one son, F. Rogers (Valerie) Brafford, II, of Albemarle; two daughters, Lori (Rodney) Foreman of Norwood, and Holli (Brett) Lowder of Albemarle; grandchildren, Bryce and Kimball Midgett, Rogers, Zac, and Caden Brafford, Brody and Taegan Lowder, Isabella and Walker Foreman; and one sister, Candace Hudson of Albemarle.

After 25 years of dedicated service, Pam retired from Stanly Community College as Foundation Executive Director. Very active in community affairs, Pam served as president of the Chamber of Commerce, the Albemarle Junior Woman's, and Xi Alpha Nu Sorority. An active member of First Presbyterian Church and the adult choir, Pam loved spending time at the beach and traveling with her friends and family. A forthright, sophisticated, strong willed woman, Pam's greatest love and devotion was her family, especially her precious grandchildren. She taught them well.
