Patricia Mauldin

Patricia Vanhoy Mauldin, 58, of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020.

Patricia was born December 16, 1961 in Stanly County to the late Norman Vanhoy, Jr. and Agnes Luther Vanhoy.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her grandparents Norman Eli Vanhoy and Maude Vanhoy.

She loved and enjoyed her family and all her precious grandchildren. Her dogs were included as part of her family. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing and  knitting and going to auctions and shopping for that treasured antique. She had a delicate taste for food and her homemade cat head biscuits were one of a kind. Patricia had a special bond with each of her children who loved and will miss her very much.  She worked in the medical field for twenty plus years taking care of others.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church, 22182 Canton Rd., Albemarle. The service will follow at 3:00 pm, with burial in the church cemetery.

Survivories include daughter, Kayla (Nick) Knopp of Lilesville, NC; husband, David Mauldin; sons, David Christopher (Joey) Vanhoy of Albemarle, NC, and, Justin Wade Hartsell; step-son, David Alan Mauldin; uncle, Timothy Dale Almond; grandchildren, CJ, Cody, Hannah, Summer, Dusty, DJ and Alley; great-grandchild, Izzy; brothers, Gary Vanhoy and Tim (Gabby) Vanhoy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers include, Dusty Efird, Branson Russell, David Lowder, Mark Russell, Hunter Oxendine, Nick Russell, and Cody Kimrey.

Memorials may be made to Hartsell Funeral Home in memory of  Mrs. Patricia Mauldin.
