Patricia Carpenter

Patricia “Trish” Lynn Evans Carpenter, 64, of Concord, loving mother, wife, grandmother, sister and friend, lost her courageous battle to cancer on Friday, March 23, 2012, at Tucker Hospice House. Although we are heartbroken of our loss we find comfort in knowing she is smiling and loving the beauty of her new, pain free body in Heaven where we will meet again. Trish was born on November 21, 1947 to the late Leonard Whitfield Evans and the late Catherine Louise Atwell Evans. In addition to her parents, her mother-in-law, Flossie Irene Reid, preceded her in death. She leaves behind her loving husband of 45 years, Darrell D. Carpenter of Concord; daughter, Robin Carpenter Craycraft and husband Mike of China Grove; son, Darrell Scott Carpenter and wife Carla of Concord; Brother, Richard W. Evans and wife Jan of Kingwood, TX; sister, Carol E. McKissick of Mooresville; her grandchildren whom she adored, Cody, Brooklynn, Jared, Evann, Tyler and several nieces and nephews; and her father-in-law, Eulon Reid. Trish was retired after working 30 years at Carolinas Medical Center NorthEast, where she loved the patients she cared for. Trish had a love not only for her family, but loved seeing different parts of the country, loved working crossword puzzles, collecting "Blue Willow", and loved to shag with her husband while listening to beach music. Visitation will be at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Monday, March 26, 2012, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will he held in the Hartsell Funeral Home chapel on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at 4:00 p.m. Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery.
