Patricia Mcdermott

Patricia Anne McDermott, 63, of Concord, passed away Monday, May 22, 2023 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

She was born February 26, 1960 in New Zealand to the late Philip McDermott and late Patricia Evelyn Farmer McDermott.

Patricia is a loving mother of three not including her dogs Molly and Daisy. She is a paralegal for the law firm Wallace and Graham, P.A. and took pride in her work and helping the clients she served. You could often hear her yelling at her boss Ed, but she was also proud to work under such an amazing attorney. She loved her kids and was proud of the people they grew up to be. She took joy in watching her grandchildren grow and succeed in life. She has been a huge part of her grandchildren’s lives since their births. She loved the beach, especially in winter. The mountains in the fall and good glass of wine. Trish was a traveler and kept interest in different cultures. Her family was her heart and it beat for them.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:45 pm, Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in the Miller J. Hartsell Chapel and be officiated by Rev. Robin Sipe.

Patricia is survived by her three children and their spouses Caleb McDermott Sipe and Casie Bland of Norfolk, Va. and her grandchildren James, Jessica, William, Jaxon Sipe and Alyssa Thomas;
Amber and Anthony Shue of Concord, NC and her grandchildren James, Alyza and Hunter Shue; and Tabitha and Josiah Schmidt of Wilksboro, NC and her grandson Graham Sipe. Her companion Ricky
Woods of Concord, NC and her brother Peter McDermott of New Zealand; her sister Sharon McDermott of New Zealand and her brother Michael and sister-in-law Kace McDermott of New Zealand.
