Patsy Scercy

Patsy Ruth Williams Scercy, 89, of Concord, passed away peacefully at Accordius Health, in Concord, on Thursday, February 3, 2022.

Patsy was born August 29, 1932 in Concord, to the late Rally Rufus Williams and the late Flora Herlocker Williams.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Scercy, brother Kenneth Williams, and her sisters, Faye Williams and Marcilene Moore.

Patsy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, decorating for holidays, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her loving puppy Jacques and her dear friend Kathy Hughes. Patsy graduated from Concord High School and then studied accounting at Evans Business College and the University of North Carolina Charlotte.

Survivors include her son, David (Ruth-Hanna) Scercy of Harrisburg, brother, Larry (Paulette) Williams of Carolina Shores; granddaughter, Dena Scercy, grandson, David Scercy, and great-granddaughter Anastasia, all of Harrisburg, nieces Amy (Albert) Strickland of Waynesville Maria (Clifton) Hollopeter of Wilmington, and Penny (Bryan) McCulloh of Oakboro, and nephew Kevin Williams of North Myrtle Beach, SC.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Harrisburg.  The service will be webcast at the following link for those who can not attend. https://video.ibm.com/channel/drygeSYpxX7
