Patty McCain Crowell Lowder

Patty Crowell Lowder, 101, of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Southwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Clinton, NC.

Patty was born July 6, 1923, in Stanly County to the late Arnold Crowell and the late Elizabeth Vickers Crowell (Lizzie).

She was also preceded in death by husband, Quentin Elwood Lowder (of 37 years) and siblings, Winfred Crowell McQueen, Migon Crowell Thomas and George Henry Crowell.

Services for the Lowder family will be private.

Survivors include daughter, Sally Pope (Joe) of Clinton, NC; son, Phil Lowder of Albemarle, NC; and granddaughter, Jessica Anne Lowder.

Patty had a great sense of humor and she always thought of others and what were going through before herself. She was a very giving person. She loved her days working as a salesperson at Belk for 24 years. Patty was very independent, frank, and did things her own way - perhaps that's how she lived so long.

Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
