Paul Nolan Rhodes, 54 of Boynton Beach, Florida, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 29, 2013. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle on Saturday, May 4, 2013 from 10:00am until 11:00am. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Jeff Kidd, will follow at 11:00am on Saturday in Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel of Albemarle. Burial will be held at Oakboro Cemetery. Paul resided in Boynton Beach where he was a retired employee of U.S. Food Service. Paul was born January 20, 1959 in Knoxville, Tennessee to Calvin B. Rhodes and Henrietta Foust Rhodes, who have both preceded him in death. He is survived by three brothers, Bob Rhodes of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee; Butch Rhodes of Jonesborough, Tennessee; Gerry Rhodes of Piney Flats, Tennessee; and a sister, Martha Bell of Knoxville, Tennessee. He attended Daniel Boone High School in Gray, Tennessee where he graduated in 1977. Paul was a devoted, loving father who put his family first in his life. He is survived by his daughter, Ashley Nicole Rhodes of Locust, North Carolina. She was the apple of his eye. His world revolved around her happiness and her success in life. She will forever be “daddy’s little girl!†Paul is also survived by a grandson, Hunter Williams of Locust. Freddy L. Mays, Paul’s son also preceded him in death.
