Pauline Hathcock

Pauline Drye Hathcock, age 91 of 12954 Oak Grove Rd, Oakboro, NC 28129 passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at her home. She was born in Stanly County on January 26, 1919. She was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church in Oakboro. Pauline Drye Hathcock was preceded in death by her husband- Vance Harrell Hathcock, who passed away in 1975, mother- Bedie Ann Smith Drye and father Rufus Filmore Drye. Also preceded in death by son-in-law- R. Douglas Branch, 4 brothers- Marcus, Spurgeon, J.V. and Van Drye, 2 sisters-Arlene Tucker and Alma Wadkins. Visitation will be Monday, March 15, 2010 at Hartsell Funeral Home-Albemarle from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Mineral Springs Baptist Church with a 30 minute state with the ministers Rev. Keith Walters, Rev. Mike Taylor and Rev. Dwight Mabry officiating. Burial will follow at Mineral Springs Baptist Church Cemetery Pauline Drye Hathcock was survived by her daughters Joan Branch of Albemarle NC, Jeannette Edwards and husband Edsel of Oakboro NC, Sue Stogner and husband Wade of Oakboro NC, Joy Harris and husband Junior of Oakboro NC, Rita “Toonie” Lowder and husband Joe of Oakboro NC, her brother- Gene Drye and wife Doris of Oakboro, grandchildren-Chris and Jason Stogner, Jeff Branch, Mark Edwards, Amy Edwards Boger; Great Grandchildren- Meg, Vance and Jacob (expected in July) Stogner; Benjamin, Elizabeth, Sarah and Anna Edwards; Chance and Claudia Boger.
