Pauline Livingston Haywood Menius, 89, of 708 Sunderland Road, Concord, left this world to inherit her eternal mansion on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 9:26 PM at her home. She will be truly missed by all of her family as a precious mother, grandmother and special friends.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday, November 17, at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, November 18, at Bright Light Baptist Church, where she was a member. The Rev. Dr. Ronnie Simpson will officiate. Burial will be at 3 PM on Wednesday at Southside Cemetery in Troy. The family will be meeting at the home.

Mrs. Menius was born July 24, 1920 in Montgomery County to the late William Livingston and the late Eunie Mae Dunn Livingston. She was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Barney Haywood; second husband, Steve Menius; granddaughters, Tammy Jones and Donna Cheryl Helms; and son-in-law Louis Anguzza.

Survivors include her sons, Eugene Haywood and wife, Shirley, of Wilmington and Coy Lee Haywood and wife, Nancy, of Sanford; daughters, Joyce Anguzza and Sybil Helms and husband, Buck, all of Concord; brothers, Sherman Livingston and Billy Ray Livingston, both of Troy; sister, Doris Mauldin of Troy; grandchildren, Ricky Haywood, Heather Haywood, Kevin Anguzza, Sr., Erica Johnson, Tonya Anguzza, Pam Whitley, and Annette Helms; great-granchildren, Jeremy Jones, Gena Medellin, Randy Hennings, Brittany Hester, Sara and Jacob Johnson, Kevin Anguzza, Jr., Aaron Helms, and J.C. and Shane Whitley; step-son Joe Mack Menius; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Dr. Charles Rhodes, Dr. Brent Kelly, Dr. Hendrick, Dr. Woolwine, Dr. Halstenberg, and all of the special nurses, as well as Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County for all of the loving care they provided.
