Pearl Helms

Pearl Virginia Cox Helms, 82, of Charlotte, NC passed away at her home on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.

Pearl was born May 14, 1937 in Albemarle, NC to the late Rudaulph Alexander Cox and the late Estelle Burris Cox. She was also preceded in death by her first husband Guy Duckett, Jr. and recent husband William R. Helms, Sr.; son William Reid Helms, Jr. and daughter Lorraine Duckett Eastridge; as well as seven siblings.

Survivors include her daughter, Guynita Hoesman and husband William; son Terry Duckett; daughter Sherry Wren and husband Tim; 13 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and two great great granddaughters; as well as four siblings.

A funeral service to celebrate Pearl's life will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 13, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home, 12115 University City Blvd., Harrisburg, officiated by Pastor Frank Jolly and Pastor Allen Montgomery.  A private burial will take place in the church cemetery at the former Plaza Road Baptist Church.
