Pearl Hill

Pearl Little Hill, 82 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at her home. Pearl was born September 12, 1931 in Rowan County to the late George Pinkney Little and the late Mary Rachel Oakes Little . She was also preceded in death by a son James McCoy Hill, Jr.; one sister, Ella Powell; and two brothers, Ed and Bill Little. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, March 7, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. The funeral service officiated by Rev. Nathan Fox will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Congregational Christian Church in Albemarle. She is survived by daughters, Pat Hill James and Connie Hill Almond of Albemarle; son, Garry Hill and wife, Sue of Hilliard, FL; three sisters, Nancy Lyerly, Jenny Corl and Dolly Talbert; grandsons, Wesley Almond of New London, Brian Hill of Gilroy, CA, Jason Hill of Venice, FL and Michael Hill of Fort Myers, FL; granddaughter, Stephanie James-Cowan of Mooresville; seven great-grandchildren and two beloved fur-babies, Jody and Boo.
