Peggy Carpenter

Peggy Pauline Carpenter, 79 years of age, of Concord, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at her home.

Peggy was born April 5, 1936 in Concord to the late Gilbert Brantley Goodman and the late Bertie Anne Goodman.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Junior and Fred Goodman.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, and will be officiated by Rev. Joey Morrison. Burial will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery in Concord.

Survivors include husband, Marvin Lee Carpenter Jr. of Concord; two daughters, Linda (Keith) Barnes of Concord, and Frances Christy of Concord; son, Randy Lee Carpenter of Concord; four brothers, Ray, Jerry, Robert, and Jim Goodman; sister, Sarah Freeman; six grandchildren, Catherine, Bryan, Ricky, Jamie, Devin, and Jason; and six great grandchildren, Dacey, Emily, Skylar, Stella, Stuart, and Connor.

Peggy loved working in her garden and growing flowers outdoors. She had a heart of gold and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
