Peggy Hoggard

Concord

Peggy Sue Garmon Hoggard, 78, of Concord, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 24, 2021.

Peg was born September 12, 1943 in Concord to the late Leo Thompson Garmon and the late Gertrude Bernice McDonald Garmon.  She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Frances Kee, Bobby Garmon.

Peg attended Wil-Mar Park Baptist Church in Concord and loved to sing in church.  She was an awesome cook.  She dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Most of all, Peg was the best wife and mother in the world.

Survivors include beloved husband of 62 years, John J. Hoggard of Concord; son, Johnny W. Hoggard and wife, Wendy, of Dallas, GA; son, Jeffrey L. Hoggard and girlfriend, Tangie Davis, of Concord; son, Chad A. Hoggard and wife, Melissa, of Rockwell; grandchildren, Stefanie Mason, Jennifer James and husband, Chris, Travis Hoggard, Amber Long and husband, Dallas, Autumn Hoggard, and Trevor Hoggard; sister, Dorothy Shutters and husband, Dennis, of Concord; sister, Brenda Kee of Concord; brother, Teddy Garmon of Concord; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A graveside service in celebration of Peg's life will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church Cemetery in Gold Hill, officiated by Rev. David Wilson.

Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Hoggard family.
