Peggy Poplin

Peggy Ann Rowland Poplin, age 76 of Albemarle, passed away on March 21, 2012 at her home with her loving husband by her side. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, March 23. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 24 at 2:00 PM in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Ervin Houser. Burial will follow at the Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Poplin was born in Stanly County on February 26, 1936, to the late Claude Melton Rowland and the late Martha Mae Morton Rowland. She is survived her husband of 57 years, Edward William Poplin, of the home; her niece, Marie Hatley of Albemarle; grand niece, Missy Hedrick and her husband John of Charlotte; grand nephew, Michael Hatley of Albemarle and great-grand niece, Piper Hedrick of Charlotte.
