Peggy Ann Shoe Tallent

Peggy Ann Shoe Tallent, 89, of Concord, passed away peacefully surrounded by family ,Tuesday October 15, 2024 at her home in Concord.

 Peggy was born February 8, 1935 in North Carolina to the late Artie H. Kluttz and the late Addie Agnes Shoe. 

She was also preceded in death by husband, Paul David Tallent, daughter, Leisa Ann Bell, brother, Coy Lee Shoe, sister, Mary Katherine Ford.

Peggy retired after ten years of service to Senic Hosiery Mill and 15 years of dedicated service as part owner. Paul's Discount Clothing. You would often hear Peggy's humming and gospel singing at the store. She was a Christian lady who dearly loved her church faithfully served Poplar Grove Baptist Church and Gethsemane Baptist Church . Peggy also loved teaching the kids in Vacation Bible School , Sunday School, and singing in the choir. She had a special love for Christian tours, the beach , and enjoyed the mountains. Peggy was know for always lending a helping hand and received the William T.J. Murphy award for serving the homeless. Words to describe Peggy , wife, mother, sister, sister in law, aunt , grandmother, and great grandmother, loving , patient , understanding, gentle, self control, wise, humble, kind, compassionate , trustworthy, hard working , inspirational , generous, peaceful ,huge heart , stood on her belief never wavering , passionate , amazing , God Fearing, and a woman of faith who loved her family dearly. 

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 11:45 am, Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Saturday at 12:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord in Concord officiated by Rev. Bobby Tallent. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park Kannapolis at Hwy. 29N at I85, Exit 58, Concord.

Survivors include sons, David Tallent and Aaron Tallent, daughter, Susan Kay Smith of Concord, NC, daughter, Julia Kathryn Tallent, 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren.
