Peggy Teal
February 7, 1937 — June 10, 2017
Peggy Jo Allen Spry Teal, 80 years of age, of Concord, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
Peggy was born February 7, 1937 in Rowan County to the late Ervin Walter Allen, Sr. and the late Helen McDaniel Allen. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, James Brady Spry, Jr.; sister, Faye Raney; brother, Norman Allen; and two grandchildren, Cherith Straney and Jeff Shepherd.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Rowan Memorial Park's Chapel, 4125 Franklin Comm Center Rd., Salisbury. The funeral service to celebrate her life will follow at 1:00 pm, officiated by Pastor Stan Riddle. The burial will be at Rowan Memorial Park. At other times, the family will be gathering at the home.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 34 years, William Thomas Teal, Jr. of the home; children, Debbie Shepherd of Cooleemee, Danny James Spry and wife Sherry of Mocksville, Karen Dutton and husband Erik of Harrisburg, Kristen Williams and husband Keith of Harrisburg; sister, Eleanor Burton of Salisbury; brother, Ervin Allen, Jr. and wife Betty of Linwood; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
Peggy was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord. She enjoyed many interests and loved people. Peggy was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
