Peggy Whitley

Peggy Joyce Whitley, 79 years of age, of 781 Firelight Court SW, Concord, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at her residence in Concord. She was born May 18, 1933 in Stanly County to the late James Alfred and the Chloa Lee Whitley. She was also preceded in death by husband, Horace Drye, Jr. Peggy worked at Fieldcrest Cannon Mills and was a member of West Concord Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm - 8:00pm, Thursday, April 25, 2013. The funeral service will be at the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel in Concord, NC on Friday, April 26, 2013 at 2:00pm. The service will be officiated by Rev. Mike Farley. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. Survivors include one son, Ricky Mann of Concord; two grandsons, Rick Mann, Jr. of Tarboro, NC and Jason Mann of Mooresville, NC; two great granchildren and one adopted sister, Cathy Thomas of Concord.
