Penny Julian

Mrs. Penny Denise Barbee Julian, 44, of 3659 Patricia Drive in Concord, passed away on Monday, August 30, 2010 at her home. She was born on September 3, 1965 in Cabarrus County to David Wayne Barbee and the late Edith Faye Freeman Barbee. Penny worked in the cafeteria at Weddington Elementary School and was a member of East Bethel Baptist Church. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Wednesday, September 1 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 2 at 2:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home in the chapel with Rev. Fred Freeman and Rev. Darrell Worley officiating. Burial will be at West Concord Cemetery. The family meeting place will be the home. She is survived by her husband, Ricky Julian, Sr., of the home; sons, Ricky Julian, Jr., of TX, Brian Starnes, Jay Julian, Timothy Starnes, and Michael Julian, all of Concord; daughters, Elizabeth Lasater, of TX, and Mandy Graham, of Salisbury; father, David Barbee Sr., of Concord; brothers, Joe Morris and David Wayne Barbee Jr., both of Concord; sister, Sherry Smothers, of China Grove; step brother, Harold Morris, of Kannapolis; and 14 grandchildren.
