Peter Stauffer

Peter Good Stauffer, 77 of Concord, formerly of Northford Connecticut passed away on Wednesday July 25th at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Monday, July 30, 2012 from 4 until 6 pm. A memorial service will be held in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel at 6 pm, with Pastor Candis Burgess officiating. Burial will be on Tuesday, July 31st at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis at 10 am. Graveside Military Rites will be performed by Cabarrus County Veterans Honor Guard. At other times the family meeting place will be at the home. Peter was born on September 12, 1934 in New Haven, Connecticut, to the late George Maurice and Ethel Lindborg Stauffer. Peter honorably and proudly served his country in the US Navy, having served as an Aviator during The Korean War, stationed in Pensacola, Florida. Peter graduated from Cornell University with a MBA in Business and Chemical Engineering. He was a loving family man, always there for his family. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Therese Schaller Stauffer of the home; daughter, Erika Brande and husband Greg of Concord; son, Kristopher Stauffer and wife Jennifer of Otsego, MN; brother, George Stauffer of CA; grandchildren, Cody, Beren, Wailea, and Nicholas; nieces, Lisa, Lynne and Lorelei; several cousins.
