Peter Suchanoff,Sr.

Dr. Peter Francis Suchanoff JD, 74, of Concord, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021 at his home in Concord surrounded by family.

Dr. Suchanoff was born February 27, 1947 in Vineland, New Jersey to Victor Suchanoff and Mary Suchanoff.

He is survived by his beloved wife Alice, sons Peter Jr, Matthew and Paul, daughters Rachel and Rebecca (Powell) as well as their spouses, Dana, April and Jeffrey Powell. Also his grandchildren, Ethan, Wesley, Gillian, Harry, Paige and Amelia. Mother, Mary, Brother, Gene and his wife Sue as well as his niece Janine and nephews Joe and Greg.

Dr. Suchanoff attended Pennsylvania Military College before his postgraduate studies at the University of Toledo where he received his doctorate in jurisprudence. He was an accomplished athlete and musician with a number of hobbies including coin collecting, pinochle and shooting sports. His life’s ambition was to do everything in his power to create and maintain a safe, fun, and loving environment for his wife and children. From coaching the kids sports teams to family vacations he always put his family first no matter what it took. After retiring he enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren, spending time with his wife, hunting for treasure at the local Goodwill and eating as much sushi as he could get away with. He had a wry sense of humor and was always ready with a “dad” joke. His wisdom and guidance through the years helped shape the lives of not only his children but his grandchildren as well. He will always be remembered by his family and friends as a great man who accomplished many great things and lived a great life. His influence and presence will be felt for many years to come.

The family will receive friends from 1pm to 2pm on Friday, July 16, 2021 at Roberta United Methodist Church and the funeral service will follow at 2:30 pm and be officiated by Pastor Perry Hines.
