PFC James Fleet McClamrock, 22, of Huntersville, formerly of the Statesville/Troutman area, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 while serving his country in Iraq. He was born on November 17, 1987 in Columbia, SC to James Mark and Susan Uhls McClamrock. He was a graduate of South Iredell High School. He married his bride of two years, Shannah Marie Dartt McClamrock in 2008. Jamie was in the US Army with the 25th Infantry Division stationed out of Hawaii and serving in Iraq. He was a member of A.R.P. Church in Concord. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Thursday, September 16, 2010 from 6:00 until 9:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 17, 2010 at 4:00 pm at Forest Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark McClamrock and Rev. Dr. Doug Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis with full Military Rites performed at the graveside by the US Army Honor Guard. At other times, the family will be meeting at 16 Marsh Avenue, NW in Concord. He is survived by his wife of two years, Shannah Marie Dartt McClamrock, of Huntersville, NC; parents, James Mark and Susan Uhls McClamrock, of Concord, NC; brothers, John, Barnes and Harrison McClamrock all of Concord, NC; sisters, Kathryn and Caroline McClamrock also of Concord, NC; maternal grandmother, Christine Uhls, of St. Petersburg, FL.; Ray and Peggy Barnes, of Hendersonville, NC. Jamie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fleet and Deta McClamrock.
