Phillip Kidd

Army Specialist 4th Class, Phillip Clark Kidd, age 30 of 16309 Liberty Hill Church Road, Oakboro, passed away on March 27, 2010 at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. Funeral service will be at First Assembly Church of God, Albemarle, at 11 AM on Saturday, April 3, 2010. Pastor Bob Gruver and Air Force Chaplain, Jeff Kidd will officiate. The family will receive friends at First Assembly 1 hour prior to the service. At other times the family will meet at the home of his parents, Dennis and Kathy Kidd, 16309 Liberty Hill Church Road, Oakboro. Burial will be in Oakboro Cemetery. Born April 10, 1979 in Stanly County, he was the son of Dennis Kidd and Kathy Hinson Kidd who survive. He was stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Stacy Kidd Dotson; son,Drew Kidd of Locust; and paternal grandmother, Mavis Kidd of Albemarle. A 1997 graduate of West Stanly High School, he played on the football team. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed playing golf. He attended First Assembly Church of God.
