Phong Xiong

Phong Xiong, 34, of Albemarle, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017.

Phong was born on October 4, 1982 in Merced, CA to Yang Pao Xiong and Sue Ly.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Nkajmas Xiong.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his beloved wife of 13 years, Shoua (Suzy); eldest daughter Aaralyn; two sons, Ian and Gabriel; sister, Sai; and two brothers, Peter and William, along with a number of nieces and nephews who will always remember him as a great uncle who made them laugh and was always there when they needed him most.

Phong was loved by many for his genuine personality, infectious smile, and honest heart. He was dedicated to his family and enjoyed bringing everyone together for weekend BBQ’s. His sudden passing has left many at a lost and he will be truly missed by all.

The family will receive friends and family, Friday, April 7, 2017 at 8 a.m. until Sunday, April 9, 2017 at 12 p.m. at AMVET, 29484 Bobcat Rd. in Albemarle, NC. The graveside services will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory at 1 p.m.
