Phyllis Barrier

Phyllis Irene Hill Barrier, 63 years of age, of Concord, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012 at her home. Mrs. Barrier was born December 17, 1948 in Rowan County to the late Edward Thomas Hill and the late Dorothy Irene Story Hill. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be at 4 p.m., Wednesday in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel in Midland, officiated by Rev. Gary Morris. Burial will follow in the St. Stephens Wesleyan Church of Concord. Survivors include her husband of 31 years, John Henry Barrier, of the home; her son, Michael Myers of Woodleaf, N. C.; her daughters, Melissa McDaniels of Cleveland, N.C., Sheri Draughn of Cooleemee, N. C., and Robin Whitley of Midland; one brother, Norman Hillof Kannapolis; three sisters, Virginia Faulkenberry of Kannapolis, Donna Hurlocker of Salisbury, and Bonnie Poole of China Grove; nine grandcdhildren and two great-grandchildren she loved dearly, Bree, Michael, Matt, Daniel, Phillip, Little Michael, Madison, Fernando and Steven; great-grandchildren, Coleton and Savannah Mae.
