Quince Smith

Quince Floyd Smith, 80, of Mount Pleasant, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast surrounded by his loving daughters. Mr. Smith was born August 4, 1933 to the late Hobart and Martha Smith. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife Lovine Burris Smith. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord on Monday, September 30, 2013 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. The funeral service will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord Chapel on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 4:00pm. Burial will follow at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his two loving daughters, Donna Penninger and husband Kenny of Concord and Robin Rutherford and husband Joe of Coppell,TX; three grandchildren, Matthew Penninger and wife Talia of Charlotte, Nate Penninger of Concord and Ryan Rutherford of Coppell, TX; a brother, Donnie Smith of Richfield and a sister, Zula Smith of Albemarle. Quince loved going to the beach and keeping up with current events on Fox News. He also enjoyed meeting new people. But perhaps his greatest pastime was watching NASCAR races on Saturdays or Sundays!
