Rachel Barringer

Mrs. Rachel Bradford Barringer, age 90 of 119 Barringer Dr, Richfield, NC passed away Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Spring Arbor Assisted Living in Albemarle. Mrs. Barringer was born March 16, 1920 in the Odell Community of Cabarrus County. She was the daughter of the late James McKnight Bradford and Mary Goodman Bradford. She was also preceded in death by her husband Daniel Luther Barringer and grandson, Brent Ashley Barringer, brothers and sisters, Margaret Elizabeth Bradford Patterson, William Baxter Bradford, James McKnight Bradford, Jr., Mary Grace Bradford Conner, Dorothy Bradford Burrage, Sarah Bradford Cress, and John Robinson Bradford. She is survived by sons, Luther Bradford Barringer and wife Ruby Morris Barringer of Richfield, James Ray Barringer and wife, Brenda Tomberlin Barringer of Richfield and Clarence William (Bill) Barringer and wife Terri Misenheimer Barringer of Richfield; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Mrs. Barringer attended Cabarrus County schools and Pfeiffer College. She was a member of the Stanly County Home Demonstration Club, Richfield Road Runners and numerous other community activities. She was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church and attended as long as her health permitted. Visitation will be Friday, May 28, 2010 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. Funeral service will be Saturday, May 29, 2010, 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church. Rev. Ruth Ann Sipe, Pastor and Rev. Darrell Norris, former Pastor will officiate. The family will meet at the home of James Ray and Brenda Barringer, son and daughter in law, 124 Barringer Dr, Richfield, NC.
