Rachel Boone

Rachel Fronie Lee Boone, Age 84 of the Lutheran Home, 24724 US 52 Hwy S., Albemarle, North Carolina, passed away on March 25, 2010 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle. Born in Stanly County on January 29, 1926, she is the daughter of the late George Efird Lee and Lillie Mae Russell Lee. Rachel Boone was preceded in death by husband Jay William Boone in 2001; and sisters, Georgia Boone, Sadie Martin and Lucille Randall. Ms. Boone retired from Fieldcrest Cannon as an order Coordinator. She was also a member of V.F.W. Lady’s Auxiliary. A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 28, 2010 from 06:00 PM 08:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home Albemarle. The service will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel on Monday, March 29, 2010 at 4 PM with Rev. Delane Burris officiating. Burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory. At other times the family will be at the home of her son, Kevin Boone. Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Rachel Boone was survived by her son, Kevin Boone and fiancée Pam Hatley of Oakboro, NC; and her sisters, Beatrice Lisk of Albemarle NC, Velma Lee of Norwood NC; her brothers, Ralph Lee and Clyde Lee both of Norwood NC.
