Rachel Cook

Rachel Louise Cook, age 85, of Concord, passed away Friday, July 26, 2013 at CMC-NorthEast in Concord. She was born June 7, 1928 in Stanly County to the late James Marvin Williams and the late Martha Pauline Williams. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Cook; two sons, Jerry Cook and Dennis Cook and a daughter, Joyce Ballard. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 2, 2013 at 2:00 pm in Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. Mrs.Cook is survived by a sister,Minnie Smith of Locust; granddaughter, Tammy Fleming and husband James of Charlotte and great-granddaughter, Macayla Haigler of Charlotte. She worked as a cashier and a florist at Harris Teeter in Concord for 25 years. Memorials may be made to New Hope Worship Center 452 Brookwood Ave. Concord, NC 28025.
