Rachel Faggart

Rachel Amanda Faggart, 74 years of age, of 5521 Cold Springs Road, Concord passed away Friday May 30, 2014. Rachel was born January 18, 1940 in Concord to the late Kenneth Malcom and Edith Martha Bost Faggart. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by three sisters, Hallen Lambert, Louise Faggart and Ann Lee Motley; three brothers, W.G. "Dub" Faggart, Maurice Faggart and Frank Faggart. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord from 5 PM to 7 PM on Sunday June 1, 2014. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Jim Posey, will be Monday June 2, at 4:00 at Cold Water Baptist Church, 1045 South Union Street, Concord. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rachel will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the Service. Rachel worked for Cabarrus County Schools, A.T. Allen, for over 25 years. She was a life long member of Cold Water Baptist Church in Concord. She taught children and youth in Sunday school, sang in the church choir, and active in Vacation Bible School. She is survived by two sisters, Sarah Elizabeth Faggart of the family home, and Amnaris Faggart Miller, husband Jim Miller of Kannapolis.
