Rachel Gwyn

Loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister, Rachel Marie Allman Gwyn, age 53, of 11221 Cruse Road, Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2011 at CMC NorthEast. She was born on January 28, 1958 in Concord to Frances Louise Allman, of Concord and the late Raymond Martin Allman. Rachel was a CNA for St. Andrews Living Center. A memorial service will be held at a later date. She is survived by her husband, John Philip Gwyn, of the home; daughter, Emily Marie Fincher, of Mt. Pleasant, mother, Frances Louise Allman, of Concord; granddaughter, Paige Lindsay Bowers, of Mt. Pleasant; brother, David Allman; sisters, Anna Paxton, Ester Helms, and Becky Blackwelder; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as many great nieces and nephews. Rachel was an outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed camping and hiking. She enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, and cooking, which was her pleasure particularly for family gatherings. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and Tinker.
