Rachel Hinson

Rachel Herrin Hinson, age 88 of 32086 Clete Road, Albemarle, NC passed away on Saturday May 7th, 2011. The visitation will be Monday, May 9 from 6 until 8 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 10 at 11 AM in Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel. The burial will follow at Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Carlton Davidson will officiate the services. Rachel was born on February 27, 1923 to the late Millard Herrin and Clara. Rachel was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Seburn Clonnie Hinson, her brother, Vernon Herrin, and her sister, Pauline Hatley and Grandson Jimmy W. Hinson. Rachel worked for Hoover Hosiery Mill for many years. After she retired from the hosiery mill she worked as a home care nurse for a multitude of senior citizens. Rachel loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed fishing especially with her husband Seburn. Rachel's survivors include her daughter, Linda H. Dennis and husband Jerry of Concord; son, James W. Hinson and wife Gloria of Hillsborough, NC; sisters, Ramelle McLester of Albemarle, Jean Bost of Concord, Sue Honeycutt of Concord; sisters-in-law, Joyce Lambert of Mt Pleasant, Willene Belvin and husband Punch of Cornelius; grandchildren Tony Dennis and wife Kim of Gold Hill, Todd Dennis and wife Paula of Mt Pleasant, JoAnn LeBouef and husband Mickey of Ariton, AL, Jack Hinson of Ozark, AL; ten great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.
