Rachel Ritchie

Rachel Aileen Auten Ritchie, 81, of Concord, went to be with Jesus on Monday, November 8, 2010 at Universal Healthcare. She was born on December 6, 1928 in Cabarrus County to the late William Clyde Auten and the late Rilla Burris Auten. She was a member of New Hope Worship Center and a retired label maker from Cannon Mills. A visitation will be held at on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Hartsell Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Morgan, Jr. and Rev. Gary Clay, II officiating. Burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park in Harrisburg. She is preceded in death by her former husband, Cecil A. Ritchie. She is survived by son, William A. Ritchie, of China Grove; daughters, Juanita R. Clay, of Concord, Donna Kay Culp, of Concord, and Alice R. Linn, of Granite Quarry; sisters, Peggy Poplin, of Concord and Doris Clark, of Kannapolis; sister in law, Rena Mae Auten, of Kannapolis; daughter-in-law, JoAnn Sneed, of Locust; eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
