Ralph Eudy

Ralph Seymour Eudy, 82 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast in Concord.

Ralph was born May 14, 1932 in Stanly County to the late Grover Cleveland Eudy and the late Alice Rosanna Burris Eudy. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, James, Fred, and Dewell Eudy.

There will be a celebration of his life from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday, March 2, 2015 at the Rosebriar Restaurant. The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, officiated by Dr. Wayne Bennett and Rev. Ken McRae. The burial will be at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall. At other times the family will be gathering at the home.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Carolyn Barbee Eudy of the home; daughter, Karen Christy and husband Scotty of Albemarle; grandsons, Jordan and Kobe Christy; brother, Claude Eudy and wife Ruby of New London; sisters, Ruth Smith of Mt. Gilead, Nellie Hearne of Albemarle, Mildred McRae and husband Shorty of Mt. Gilead, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ralph honorably served his country in the United States Army, and was a self-employed contractor. He was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He loved his church and his Men's Fellowship Class.
