Ralph Henderson Green, 84 years of age, of Sunset Beach, NC formerly of Concord, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2016.
Ralph was born October 15, 1932 in Burke County, NC to the late John Kilgo Green and the late Lucy Aliene Smith Green.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Green and his wife Sarah; his grandson Ryan McManus; as well as his step-son Andrew Pangle.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Pangle Green of Sunset Beach, NC; daughter Michelle McManus; step-children Bobbie Caldwell and husband George; Teddy Pangle and wife Vickie; James Pangle and wife Michelle; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; brother Kenneth Green and wife Sheila; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Ralph owned and operated Ralph's Radiator Shop for over 40 years. He was a jokester and he never met a stranger. He would happily spend his time with the ones he loved, reflecting on days past. Ralph met his beloved Faye in 2010, cutting a rug on the dance floor. One look and he knew it was love at first sight. He would spend the next months courting her, and on the joyful day of August 8, 2010 he made her his wife. Ralph took pride in the appearance of his home, even in the days of pain he would still be working in his yard that he took so much pride in.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, Monday, December 19, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Concord, officiated by Rev. Jimmy Barrett. Burial will follow at the Lakeview Cemetery in Greensboro, NC.
