Ralph Hartsell

Ralph Hartsell, 86, of Concord, NC passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord.

Ralph was born April 15, 1934 in Burke County, NC to the late Dewey Lee Hartsell and the late Fannie Mae Hartsell.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Doris Shoe Hartsell; son, Ralph "Jeff" Hartsell; brothers, Howard, Richard and Eddie; as well as sister, Kinza "Kay" Hartsell.

He leaves behind his daughter, Dawn Hartsell Scheessele and husband Tim; dear friend Shirley Dover; and several loving nieces and nephews.

Ralph was in the local real estate business for nearly 50 years, and was the owner and broker of Century 21 Ralph Hartsell Realty for the majority of those years.  Most recently he was an active realtor with Coldwell Banker Real Estate.  Prior to his real estate career, Ralph proudly served in the United States Navy. Over many years Ralph has held various leadership positions with the local Kiwanis Club, Rotary Club, Cabarrus Board of Realtors, the Cabarrus Rescue Squad and the Boys and Girls Club of Cabarrus County.  Ralph was an avid golfer as a member at Cabarrus Country Club.  He loved Duke Basketball and the Atlanta Braves, but most of all Ralph loved the Lord.  He served as a Deacon and was very active at Bethlehem Baptist Church.  Ralph will be dearly missed by all those who were fortunate to know him.

Friends may drop in at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord between 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Monday, January 4th, 2021.  A private funeral service will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Bill Nix.  Due to the Covid restrictions, friends are strongly encouraged to view Ralph's obituary at www.hartsellfh.com for login instructions to watch the streamed version of his funeral service at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 5th, 2021.   Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
