Ramona Speight

Ramona Holt Speight passed on October 31, 2017. Mrs. Speight was the last surviving member of a respected Stanly County family. Mrs. Speight was the daughter of the late Virgil Archie Holt and Lilla Morton Holt. She was preceded in death by brothers; Carlton "Buddy" Holt and Boyd Curtis Holt; sisters Marleen Holt Corbin and Barbara Holt Myers; daughter Donna Speight Stewart. She was married to the late Joseph Gad Speight for 44 years, before his death in 1989.

Mrs. Speight is survived by sons; Joe Speight (Debra Morgan), Tim (Wendy) Speight, Dale (Sherrie) Speight; son-in-law Don Stewart; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held in her honor at South Albemarle Baptist Church, 1005 South Second St., Albemarle, on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 3:00 pm. A reception with the family will follow in the fellowship hall from 4:00 - 6:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to South Albemarle Baptist Church, 1005 S. 2nd St., Albemarle, NC 28001.
