Randy Cooper

Randy Joe Cooper, 63, of Concord, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord.

Mr. Cooper was born May 18, 1958 in Concord, North Carolina to the late Charles Lee Cooper and the late Wilma Mae Cooper.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Bucky Lee Cooper and his sister, Debra Jean Cooper, both of Concord.

Randy was a loving husband and father. He and his wife Debbie were married for 43 years. He was very proud of his two children. Whether it was bragging about his son and how well he played in a golf tournament while in high school or doing the same about his daughter who was in marching band when they were younger, he would always make sure people knew how proud he was of them. Even as adults. He also loved his “best bud”, Maverick, the family dog.

When not working, Randy enjoyed playing golf with his son and many of his friends at Rolling Hills Golf Club. He also loved to help his son work on his Ford Mustangs that he has owned over the years. Randy was a member of East Side Baptist Church in Concord.

Survivors include wife, Debbie Newell Cooper of Concord, NC. son, Randy Lee Cooper and daughter, Lisa Marie Cooper, also both of Concord. Randy is also survived by a special niece and nephew, Dawn Cooper Williams and Todd Cooper.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:45 pm, Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord, 460 Branchview Dr. NE. The funeral service will follow in the chapel and will be officiated by Dr. Christopher Blake Maxwell. Burial will follow at the West Concord Cemetery at 331 Union Cemetery Rd SW, Concord.
