Randy Hathcock

Randy Morris Hathcock, 57 years of age, of Norwood, passed away Friday, May 23, 2014 at his home. Randy was born February 22, 1957 in Stanly County to the late Robert Henry Hathcock and Judy Lee Burris Hathcock Hatley of Locust. The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM, Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 4 PM in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Elder Robert Ervin Hatley. The burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 17236 Frog Pond Rd., Oakboro. In addition to his mother and step-father, Elder Robert Ervin Hatley, he is survived by his special friend of 20 years, Shannon Stancil of the home; sisters, Cindy Blalock of Locust and Barbara Villegas of Chandler, AZ; brother, Earl Hathcock of Norwood; step-sister, Teresa Broadway; step-brothers, Gary, Ronnie, and Donnie Hatley; three nieces; five nephews; two great-nieces; three great-nephews. Randy loved the lake, and enjoyed boating, fishing, and water skiing. He was a member of a ski team and several pool teams. He also enjoyed playing music and classic cars.
