Randy Eugene Whitley, 58 years of age, of Stanfield, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016 in Stanfield.
Randy was born February 7, 1958 in Cabarrus County to the late Eugene Whitley and the late Ethel Coleen Whitley.
He was a baseball and basketball coach for over 18 years and very active in the community, serving in the Stanfield Town Counsel. He was the owner / operator of Whitley Motor Company Inc. of Locust for 20 years.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be on Monday at 3:00 pm at Hopewell Baptist Church in Monroe. Burial will follow at the Love's Grove United Methodist Cemetery in Stanfield, NC.
Survivors include son, Chad (Tassa) Whitley of Locust, NC; daughter, Jaime (Chris) Elliott of Stanfield, NC; grandchildren, Mason, Kayla, Caden, Coley, Bryson, Trey, and Bristol; his four legged companion, Jada; sister, Brenda Huneycutt of Locust, NC; sister, Paulette Greene of Stanfield, NC; numerous nieces and nephews.
