Rashada Sharika Rashada

Rashada Sharika Rashada, affectionately known as "Ms. Exxplosive," passed away on November 26, 2024, at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center at the age of 49 surrounded by her loving family.

Born on October 12, 1975, Rashada was the beloved daughter of Jameelah Rashada and the late Rashad Y. Rashada. She is survived by her loving family, including her son, Sayyid Gibson, and his partner, Jahari Williams; her cherished granddaughter, Sahara Gibson; her sister, Rasheeda (Donna) Rashada-Jones; her brother, Terry (Veronica) Smith; and her dear nieces, Kameelah Fenderson and Amayah Dudley. She was preceded in death by her father. She also leaves behind a large extended family and countless friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts. 

Rashada worked as a senior customer care representative at Alight Solutions for over four years, excelling in a role that tested her skill and dedication. Beyond her professional work, she was an accomplished makeup artist with over two decades of experience. She poured her creativity and passion into her artistry, always striving to perfect her craft. Whether working with her clients or using her nieces as her canvas, Rashada found joy in helping others feel confident and beautiful.

With a radiant smile and a vibrant personality, Rashada was truly the life of every gathering. Her energy was infectious, and her genuine care for others made everyone feel special in her presence. She was a natural cheerleader, encouraging those around her to strive for greatness. Becoming a grandmother brought her immense joy, and her bond with her granddaughter Sahara was a bright light in her life.

Rashada loved music, Law and Order: SVU, her wide circle of friends, and embracing life to the fullest. She was a social butterfly who thrived in the spotlight, spreading love and positivity wherever she went.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 12 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland, NC.

Rashada’s bright spirit and enduring love will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
